Take the ferry for a day trip to Pico or São Jorge. In the summer make the transfer to Graciosa or Terceira by ferry.

Marshland of Pedro Miguel

Observe birds in the marshlands of Pedro Miguel, or just relax in nature.

Stormwatching

The weather is not always great. But stormwatching on the shore compensates. Careful, stay well off the coast.

Cheese

Vist the cheesfactory of O'Morro in Castelo Branco and taste the nature.

Tast the wines of Pico, you can do it here in Faial or go for a trip to Pico.

Yes there is a pitch and put course in the pastures of Castelo Branco. Enjoy the views over the ocean.

Diving and snorkeling

The ocean around Faial is the ultimate divers paradise. Go to Princess Alice Bank and dive with manta rays and sharks. Or explore the abysses around Monte da Guia.

Boat tours

What about a sunset tour to the Volcano of Capelinhos, see the volcano from the ocean. A unique view.

Game fishig

The waters around Faial are a rising star among the locations for Game fishing. No wonder, record size fish are cought regularly.

Surfing SUP and Kayak

Explore the safe waters of Porto Pim with a kayak or SUP. Kitesurf in the winter or use the bodyboard in Almoxarife.

Sailing

Horta is the top port of call for sailors crossing the Atilantic. But you can also charter a boat and go island hopping.

What a fun afternoon with Andreas! He met us at our hotel, and we were off on our adventure. We roamed all over Horta – down to the famous and picturesque harbor, through the heart of town, over to charming Porto Pim – all the while hearing history and fascinating stories about Faial, her people, and their culture. We would highly recommend this tour!
