OUR STORY

In 2017 we, Barbara and Andreas, decided to make a change in our life. By that time we already had numerous times visited the Azores and we thought about moving here. Andreas visited São Miguel and Faial for the first time in 2008, a couple of years later it was Barbara's first visit. When thinking about what to do in the Azores we thought right from the beginning to make out of our love for travelling our full time job. We started looking for possible locations on several islands. Finally in summer 2018 we fell in love with the property that is now The Plantation Faial. In spring 2019 we finally moved with our small family here to Feteira and started the project. It took quite some time to get everything done in the way we wanted. Upon planning it was most important for us to create a unique experience for our guests. Combining the charm of a Bed&Breakfast with the amenities of a small hotel. Giving the guests the experience of Azorean nature and enjoy the tast of the fruits grown organically in our plantation. Since moving from Central Europe to Faial there was not a single day when we regretted taking that step. Even after all this time we have to tell to ourselves every other week, no we are not on holiday, we live here.
