THE STORY BEHIND

Welcome to The Plantation Faial, one of the oldest banana farms in Faial, now transformed into a luxurious Bed and Breakfast. Located in Feteira on the south coast of Faial, just 500 meters from the shore, our accommodation offers the perfect climatic conditions for growing subtropical fruits. In 2019, we began the remodeling project to convert the old Quinta into a five-bedroom Bed and Breakfast. Embracing the Azorean lifestyle of slow living, our guesthouse has been welcoming guests since 2024, providing a natural and serene ambiance. During construction, the gardens of The Plantation Faial were transformed into an organic tropical fruit plantation. Our guests can now enjoy bananas, oranges, tangerines, mangos, chirimoyas, pineapples, grapefruits, coffee, chili, avocados, and more—fresh from our garden to your breakfast table. Explore the gardens through well-maintained footpaths and discover the beauty of nature. The house was remodeled from the ground up, blending old structures with state-of-the-art facilities to create a premium rural guest house. Each of our five guest rooms offers the comfort you expect from a top-tier accommodation. Enjoy the common area where you can relax with friends or meet other guests. Breakfast is prepared fresh every morning in the large main kitchen and served in the cozy kitchen or on the spacious covered veranda when the weather permits.
